Probably one of the best 3h movies I’ve watched in a while! It’s beautiful and genuinely entertaining. The music and soundtrack give a meaning to the movie like none other. This movie is what I’ve been missing from Fantastic movies, we should bring them back : a simple plot, a powerful family dynamic and some magical creatures here and there.

A semi-autobiography of Stephen Spielberg and definitely left a mark on me. It was funny, emotional, beautiful and a very tender movie. A very family friendly movie that I would recommend to everyone. The cinematography and framing are just so spectacular. Accompanying by a formidable cast who gave their all to this movie. Also starring Gabriel LaBelle as Young Spielberg and he killed it as it’s his debut movie and also comes from Montreal (represent)!

THIS KOREAN MOVIE T_T I cried so much, it’s a sweet and tender movie from the director of Shoplifters. It’s lighter than his other movie, but not as good. Still, it’s funny, very family centered and IU was absolutely wonderful in it! Struggling with parenting problems, dealing with the responsibilities of being a mother, a son, this movie wraps up in a wonderful note that family can be found everywhere.

The genius of this movie lies in the fact that it’s a meta-movie about Jafar Pahani and what’s hard with meta-movie is that you have to know the meta. I had to read about the movie afterwards because as a first watch, it was simply average. Producing it like a documentary of a banned director on the border of two cities. So my first impression when the movie finishes is that I enjoyed it but could probably not recommend it to other people.

Just give Brendan Fraser his Oscar already. An extremely moving performance from him and honestly, the whole ensemble cast is just as good. Plus, any movie that is acting out like a play always gets me. The Whale portrays anxiety, depression, and the infernal turmoil with its own dramatic flair. ALSO Sadie Sink was super impressive in this movie I have to admit.
